Student Success - New PhD student
Ahmed joins the group for a PhD!
Ahmed completed his Master Thesis within the group as part of the EliteNetzwerk Bayern SynCat Programme. Beyond the typical training of a Master student, he picked up a number of advanced synthetic, analytical and theoretical techniques, including time-correlated single photon counting, DFT, flow chemistry and cyclic voltammetry. He made valuable contributions to a number of published projects (e.g. Chem. Sci. 2022, 13, 1912; Org. Lett. 2021, 6, 2002) and continues to forge ahead with his own led project. He wrote a detailed Thesis capturing all his efforts and on top of all this, he became a father!
Ahmed is unafraid to learn new techniques and is very active in approaching other scientists both within and outside the University, qualities that will see him go far in his future career.
We wish Ahmed all the best success over the next 3 years, looking forward to what discoveries he will make.
